The term glitch came from Germany in regards to musical work. It is taking the original song and putting glitches in it to change the style. As it slowly gained members, the techniques of glitch later quickly spread around the world as many artists followed suit. They would use ruined CDs and deliberately change the feature songs with the sound of skipping CDs layered into the mix. As artists continue to experiment with different aspects of glitch music the use of the computer has helped increase (the perfect timing, repeats and perfect symmetry within the music.) It is done on purpose to change the music.
The term glitch means a small problem. For instance if you are trying to fix something and you just can't seem to get it to work you can say you ran into a glitch. Even NASA has glitches in their shuttles and a history of computer glitches. In fact, during the March 1996 return flight of Columbia NASA officials found a computer circuit problem that controlled the steering hardware on Columbia's left wing which made it possible to control (the left rudder, flaps and other critical landing functions.) If the glitch happened sooner it could have been a great disaster but it landed safely in spite of the glitch. How about the software glitch that occurred on Wednesday 11-23-2005 that caused an x to obscure the vice president's face during a televised news segment? Was it a glitch or was it an act of revenge?
