Glitches are found in video game system games. Glitches can make the playing of a video game change because the way the it changes the screen's activity. Glitches normally are a result of a programming error. Once a glitch is discovered, a report needs to be made about the glitch and feedback is sent to a programmer. From there, the programmer can change the problem in the next version of the game.
There are several video game glitches, here are four of the examples. The first of the glitches is what they called corrupted blood. Corrupted blood is when the part of a game start looking like the characters are dying from a plague. This type of glitch was found in the game World of Warcraft. The second glitch type is a computer graphics problem called, hall of mirrors. On the screen, you will see missing or broken surfaces. There is an example of this in the video game called, Doom, where the player can create their own map to play the game. The third type of game glitch are kill screens. In kill screen, the player is unable to advance through the game, they are stuck on the same stage or program. This happens because of programming errors. An example of a kill screen is Pac-Man. The fourth and last type of a video game glitch is screen tearing. This when the previous frame on the screen overlaps the new frame. Screen tearing can be prevented by vertical synchronization.
Glitches can be used by gamers to play games better. The glitches can be an advantage or a disadvantage.
