Glitches, What are They?

What are glitches?  A glitch is a term for a fault in something.  Some other words for a glitch are bugs or viruses.  What causes glitches?  Glitches may happen for a number of reasons such as manufacture defects, power or machine failure and/or storms.

To repair a glitch could be as simple as restarting your machine.  You may also wish to restore it to an earlier date or time.  If worse comes to worse, you may have to invest in a new machine or product.   While glitches can harm your products, they can also help you in a number of ways. For example, if you're in a video game, a glitch can advance you to the next game level.  Another way a glitch can help you is by giving you more points in the game.

Can you prevent glitches from happening, and what sorts of glitches exist?  Yes, you can prevent glitches from happening by doing a few simple tasks.  If you are having a storm you may want to disconnect your devices from any power source.  You may also wish to hook our devices to a surge protector.  You may also keep your electronic devices in a cool and dry place.  If they are in contact with moisture or dampness, this may cause a glitch.  These types of glitches, most often, cannot be repaired.
