Glitches are a short-lived interruptions or errors that occur within a system. Other descriptions could include a technical problem or snag, a mishap and malfunction that is minor. It can affect electronics, computers, circuit bending, software, and video games. It quite frequently involves a computing apparatus, which causes the machines functions to malfunction. Sometimes a glitch can be within the computer hardware but these usually do not go undetected as they do with software.
Computer software bugs can occur when the software is incorrectly written. Also, there is operator and navigational errors, negotiation glitches, invalid input data, computer viruses, hacking computer security systems, and other types of communications errors.
Computer and video game software glitches frequently have to do with a programming error which can include graphics not displaying properly, crashes, sound problems, collision errors that are not detected, and games that freeze up. Advantages can be gained if knowledgeable about glitches and how to exploit them. This is called “glitching.”
Glitches are sorted from the useless to the most usefulness. There are numerous useless and useful glitches known to exist. A few useless glitches include the burrowed drone extractor glitch, ensnare a building, pause and drone crash glitches. Useless glitches that are fun resulting in a specific effect include spawn broodling on building, stasis field glitch, and burrowing unit glitch. Many useless glitches work in conjunction with another useless glitch so the player can obtain the desired affect they want. Major or useful glitches include the drone crash glitch, float a drone, and crush certain building glitches.
Learning how these glitches work players can use them to their advantage and totally foul up their opponents' ability to play the game properly against them.
