It used to be that when someone would mention the word video games, they were talking about teenagers, but not anymore. Today, video games are played by people of all ages, all around the world. From the pioneers of such games as Pac Man and Super Mario brothers, to more recent games and systems like the Wii, video games have become one of the fastest growing ways for the whole family to spend time together. Playing video games can even help you stay in shape when playing games like, "Wii Fit." No matter the reason, playing video games has increased, including even the biggest skeptic a chance to jump on the video game bandwagon.

However, with technology comes glitches. Whether it is a glitch in a video game, your company computer, or you’re PC, glitches can be bothersome. But can some glitches be good? Sometimes glitches can work to your advantage when playing your favorite video games. For example, you may be able to get through or around an obstacle without losing your hard earned points or getting killed. However, a more harmful glitch can crash your system and ruin your fun.

According to Merriam dictionary at www.m-w.com, a glitch is defined as a minor problem that causes a temporary setback. A temporary setback to one person could be a major setback to someone else. So, can glitches be prevented, and if so, how? As of today, there are no real solutions to glitches. Yet, rest assured, there are people out there that are devoted to learning how to make glitches a thing of the past.
